conduct and environment

seawash is a gpsl based out of the seattle metro area, including any surrounding suburbs. the only type of writer we are looking for are dedicated writers with warm, inclusive attitudes who want a lasting place to interact. we strongly believe you get what you put out into the group, so please come prepared to interact! ooc bullying is not welcome here. line crossing is out of the question, and indulging in either can get you removed without warning so please don't it! follow the golden rule and you'll do just fine. try to work things out privately by giving the situation a day or two of time and space, and if it cannot be resolved amongst yourselves, this is what we're here for. we encourage all members to keep anon turned off in their comment settings, please report any misconduct or bullying to our dropbox so that we may properly address the situation.

the application process

• to apply: have an ic spam and a backdated, public ooc/info post. we recommend adjusting your comment settings to friends only, but this is not mandatory. you do not need to have a full bio, just a short list of facts including age, hometown, occupation, and a few miscellaneous facts. • additional characters: there is not a set character limit, but the amount of characters you are allowed depends on how active you are. however, we may ask that you wait or remove existing characters if you're not as active awith everyone you already have. you must let us know who else you play when applying. • examples & etc: ic journal names, no extra letters or underscores or numbers. examples are required. we need a minimum of 1 scene example, and 2 update examples (at least one narrative will be required for acceptance.) acceptance into the community is in part based on quality of examples, so please put your best foot forward. we ask that smut and adult scenes not be included in examples here. if your application was deleted the mods felt that your character wouldn't be a good fit for the comm. requests to know why your app was deleted may or may not be responded to.

activity checks

before the last day of each month, members are required to provide links to their character's activity. the following components will be required to be cleared for activity and avoid removal. • interaction: at least one post in the ic comm or in your character's journal OR at least 6 comment threads with 5 comments or more from your character. these comment threads need to be on at least four different days. we allow this in lieu of a lyric or random post because we understand some characters may be interactive, but not the type to post randomly or just because. it is your responsibility to keep track of comment threads! • journal: we will require at least one update to be posted in your character's journal before the end of the month, along with your friends page activity. examples of updates include: narratives, social media updates, first person entries (letters, blog posts, etc.), voicemails, text messages, or an HTML heavy post of your choosing can be used, as long as it's something that took obvious effort to code. to simplify: one narrative, journal entry or HTML-heavy post which required some amount of effort. comments may be disabled for this AND one shorter, comments-enabled entry (lyrics, random question, FFA post, etc) OR you may submit several various links to show you regularly comment on the fp and interact with others. you are responsible for dropping off your activity to the mod journal. you must reply to your intro comments within the one week, or you will be considered doa and removed. please reply to comments on all your posts if comments are enabled. you will also be required to keep your flist updated. as a courtesy, the mods will comment to remind you once and then the next time adds are done, you'll be removed if you haven't logged in and clicked the button.
